A new season of soccer in the Queen City is right around the corner with the MLS Regular Season kicking off on February 22nd. In preparation for a new campaign, the Club released a new secondary kit “The Fortress Kit” which will be born for the 2025 and 2026 seasons. You know what they say: you look good, you feel good, you play good.
Now, let’s take a look at the schedule as the boys make final adjustments before beginning a charge for an MLS Title. Most of the games will be available via the Apple TV Season Pass unless noted otherwise. The team will travel to Seattle to take on the Sounders next Saturday at 10:30 pm to begin regular season play. Charlotte’s home opener is a national game, available both on Apple TV and FOX, when Atlanta United travels to the Queen City for a 2:00 pm kickoff on March 1st. The boys travel to South Beach on March 9th to take on Lionel Messi and Inter Miami before returning home for a two game home stand. At 7:30 pm on March 15, Charlotte welcome FC Cincinnati for a “battle of the Queen Cities” before hosting the San Jose Earthquakes for another 7:30 pm kickoff. The Crown close out the month of March on the 29th with a trip out west to face the Colorado Rapids at 4:30 pm.
The month of April kicks off with a giveaway on the 5th against Nashville SC at 2:30 pm. The boys make a trip across the border for their match against Montreal on the 12th, with a 7:30 pm kickoff. April wraps up with a two game home stand, both with 7:30 pm kickoff times. On the 19th, MLS newcomers San Diego FC come to challenge the Crown, before Charlotte welcomes the New England Revolution for a giveaway night on the 26th.
May is a packed month of Charlotte soccer with seven matches and two giveaway nights. Charlotte opens the month with three road games, first traveling to Ohio on the 3rd to take on the Columbus Crew at 7:30 pm before hitting the road to the Music City for an 8:30 pm kickoff against Nashville SC. The final road game before returning home is a 7:30 pm kickoff against Orlando on the 14th. A quick turnaround follows as the Chicago Fire come to town on the 17th for a giveaway night and 7:30 pm kickoff. Another giveaway night and 7:30 pm kickoff is on the slate as the Columbus Crew come to Charlotte on the 24th. After some time at home, the boys hit the road again on the 28th for a 7:30 pm kickoff against the New York Red Bulls in New Jersey. Charlotte closes the month out with another trip up north, this time taking on Toronto FC at 7:30 pm on the 31st.
June is a month away from home for the Crown as they travel to the City of Brotherly Love for a 7:30 pm kickoff against the Philadelphia Union on the 14th. A midwest road trip is up next as the boys travel for two 8:30 pm kickoffs, first against Sporting Kansas City on the 25th, before ending the month in the Windy City on the 28th with a match against the Chicago Fire.
July kicks off with a giveaway night and national game on FOX at 7:00 pm on the 5th against Orlando City. A nice two game home defense follows as the boys first welcome New Yew York City FC for a 7:30 pm match on the 12th. DC United come to the Queen City on the 16th for a 7:30 pm battle on the 16th. The Crown heads to Atlanta on the 19th to take on Atlanta United at 7:30 pm. Another giveaway night and 7:30 pm kickoff follows as Toronto FC comes to town on the 26th.
Regular Season play picks up on August 10th as the boys travel to Cinicinati for a 6:00 pm duel. Following a quick trip, the boys are back home for two games, first Real Salt lakes comes to town on the 16th for a 7:30 kickoff. The New York Red Bulls head down south for a 7:00 pm match in the Queen City on the 24th. The month wraps up with a trip to Foxborough on the 30th as Charlottes takes on the New England Revolution at 7:30 pm.
September has three 7:30 pm kick offs with one giveaway night and one theme night. First, the boys welcome Lionel Messi and Inter Miami for a giveaway night on the 13th. A quick trip to the Big Apple follows as Charlotte travels to Yankee Stadium to face New York City FC on the 19th. The month ends on the 27th with a match against Montreal on the “Por La Cultura” night. Two games fill the slate in October, first the boys make a trip to the nation’s capital for a battle against DC United at 2:30 pm on the 4th. The Regular Season wraps up with a theme and giveaway night on the 18th. The Philadelphia Union come to town for a 6:00 pm kickoff on fan appreciation night.
In addition to the regular season, the club recently announced they will host three matches in the Leagues Cup. The Crown fared well in the cup, recently reaching the Quarterfinal round in 2023. The first match will be on July 31st against FC Juarez before C.D. Guadalajara comes to town on August 3rd. This set of Leagues Cup matches wraps up on August 7th as C.F. Monterrey travels to the Queen City. It is important to note that game times and ticket information for these matches will be made public at a later date.
A new season is always full of hope and excitement. With some familiar foes and new faces coming to the club, it’s shaping up to be an exciting season of MLS soccer in Charlotte.
