It’s almost time for soccer in the High Country as Appalachian FC released their 2025 season schedule. The club kicks off their 2025 season on Saturday May, 10th as Port City FC travels to Boone for a 7:00 pm kickoff at Ted Mackorell Stadium. The boys make a quick trip down the mountain for a 6:00 pm kickoff as they take on Greenville United on the 14th.
The trip away from home is a quick one as the boys will be at home for their next two games. First, 865 Alliance travels from Knoxville for a 7:00 pm kickoff on the 17th. Hickory FC makes the 1 hour and 15 minute journey north for a showdown on May 24th at 7:00 pm.
After two games at home, Appalachian FC hits the road. To close out the month of May, the boys travel to Virginia as they battle against Bristol Rhythm AFC at 7:00 pm on the 31st. The following week, the club returns to North Carolina for the reverse fixture against Hickory FC at Moretz Stadium.
Some home cooking is on the menu as Burlington United FC travels to Ted Mack for a 7:00 pm kickoff on June 14th. A trip to the Queen City is up next as the boys take on Charlotte Towne Hops FC on the 21st for a 7:30 pm kickoff at the CSA OrthoCarolina Sportsplex.
One final home game is on the schedule as the club closes out the month of June on the 28th as Bristol Rhythm AFC comes to town for a 7:00 pm showdown. To close out the 2025 season, Appalachian FC takes a trip to good ol’ Rocky Top for a date with 865 Alliance, scheduled for 8:00 pm on July 5th.
In addition to league play, Appalachian FC will be participating in the U.S. Open Cup. The Cup is a competition between teams from the three professional levels of the U.S. Soccer Pyramid along with some amateur clubs. USL League One side One Knoxville will travel to Boone for a first round battle on March 19th at 7:00 pm.
If the schedule is any indication, it appears to be an exciting season of soccer in Boone. Be loud, pack the Mack and stay tuned for Appalachian FC coverage here on the Southeast Soccer Report.
