This past weekend, the Ballers kicked off our home opener with a highly competitive match against South Carolina Heat. While the game ended in a tough loss (Editor’s Note: 4-1 loss), this result does not define who we are as a team. The Ballers are built on resilience, faith, and an unwavering commitment to growth, and one setback will not deter our mission.
There is energy and belief running through this squad—an undeniable fire that keeps us pushing forward. The Lord has been working with us this season, guiding us through every challenge and preparing us for the battles ahead. This team is not backing down. We are here to fight, to prove our strength, and to show that we are a force to be reckoned with.
In soccer, as in life, you win some, and you lose some, but what matters most is how you respond. We stand together through every high and low, knowing that each game is an opportunity to grow and get stronger. We lose as a team, and we win as a team.
The Ballers will continue to walk by faith, not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7), trusting in our preparation, our talent, and our purpose. One game does not define our season—we are just getting started. North Carolina, take notice. The Ballers are here.
