Where are these four former Atlanta United players now?
Today we’re checking in on these four former Atlanta United players still kicking it in another kit somewhere in the game. We’ll scour the internet for the stats and then you’ll get to read the reports to find out how your former Atlanta United favorites are doing.
Chris McCann: 1874 Northwich FC; Premier Division of Midland League (Tier 9)

McCann has made five appearances for 1874 Northwich after his November 2024 move from Shamrock Rovers. The defensive midfielder has been praised for his “immediate and positive impact at the club” and looks to be a “key figure” in the coming seasons. McCann was quality utility player in the early days of Atlanta United and has over 300 appearances in MLS, Ireland, and almost every level of English football. Tata played McCann all over the park and this Five Stripes original played 50 times in the Red and Black winning MLS Cup in 2018.
Jake Mulraney: St. Patrick's Athletic; League of Ireland Premier Division (1st Tier)

Jake joined his current side in January of 2023 and has made 79 appearances mostly as a winger or wide midfielder for the club. He has scored 15 goals adding 18 assists for his current employer across all competitions. Jake has hoisted both the Irish Cup (22/23) and Leinster Senior Cup (23/24) over his most recent stay. Jake made 55 appearances in the Five Stripes from 2020-2022 scoring 3 goals while adding 5 assists. In 2022, his 96th minute game-winning goal over Charlotte FC when he cut in from the right flank and drove a ball that deflected in for the winner is probably his greatest highlight reel moment.
Pity Martinez: River Plate; Argentine Primera Division (1st Tier)

Pity joined River in 2023 and has made 18 appearances over the past two injury-plagued seasons. Two serious knee injuries are hopefully behind Pity as he looks to return to the River lineup in mid-February of 2025 after a most recent muscle strain. Pity helped lift the Trofeo de Campeones trophy in ‘22/23 in his limited appearances during this second stay with River. Pity will forever be remembered as the 2019 Atlanta United US Open Cup final hero as he propelled the team to another trophy.
Andrew Gutman: Chicago Fire; Major League Soccer

Gutman in 2024 appeared 11 times for the Chicago Fire scoring 1 goal adding 1 assist. He is currently in the MLS preseason Fire camp and has played twice at the Coachella Valley Invitational subbing in for 45 minutes versus LAFC and starting and playing 45 minutes versus the Timbers. The Chicago Fire Academy product broke into the league with FC Cincinnati in 2019 after winning the 2018 MAC Hermann trophy at Indiana. Gutman was signed by Atlanta in 2020 and was loaned to New York Red Bulls for the 2021 season. After two years in Atlanta, Gutman moved to Colorado for the 2023 season and then completed the move back to his boyhood club the Fire in December of 2023. His 2022, 94th minute golazo versus the Sounders is one of the most technical strikes for a goal in the history of Atlanta United.
That’s all for today…we’ll check back in on these and other former Atlanta United players all season long.
