Georgia FC's Manoel Neto Wins Goal of the Year
Vote By Fans Select Neto's Goal Versus Michigan Stars FC Last July as the Winner.
Last week, the National Independent Soccer Association announced its 2024 Goal and Save of the Year from last season. Georgia FC midfielder Manoel Neto earned the fan vote to win the 2024 Goal of the Year. Neto’s goal was on July 20 in the 63rd minute against the Michigan Stars FC. Neto launched a screamer from 30 yards out, beating Stars goalkeeper Lucas Morefield as it ducked under the crossbar. Also, Los Angeles Force goalkeeper Seth Torman earned the fan vote for the 2024 Save of the Year. Torman was also the 2024 NISA Golden Glove winner with six clean sheets and a 75.61 save percentage last season. The save of the year came on October 19 in the 2024 NISA Championship match. Torman made a clutch save in the 27th minute, denying Irvine Zeta FC’s Shinya Kadono (a 2024 Best XI Second Team honoree) shot for the save.
