The first week of competition for GCL2 saw two new clubs take the field, and two legacy clubs get a fast start. Invictus were on the road for their first-ever match, and took a hard loss to Mississippi Blues, 0-7. The other newcomer is Twin Cities FC, who played a tight match against Central Louisiana FC, falling short 1-2. Full results for the first week were:
Central Louisiana FC 2 -1 Twin Cities FC
BRSC Capitals 5-1 Hattiesburg FC
LA Krewe Rush 0-0 Shreveport United
Mississippi Blues 7-0 Invictus FC
Hattiesburg FC 1-1 Mississippi Blues FC

Twin Cities will be looking to get a win in their home opener after falling short in their first-ever game last week. Once again, they'll be facing one of the most established teams in the league. Typically, I tend to give the nod to a first team that's playing a second team, which is the case here. Look for Twin Cities to collect three points from a close win over LA Krewe Rush.
