Majestic Red Stay Top of the Table With 3–0 Win Over Brute Force
ADASL Summer League | Maynard Jackson High School, Atlanta Sunday, July 21, 2025 | Kickoff: 9:00 AM | Weather: 82°F, Mostly Cloudy
Majestic Red tightened their grip on the top spot in the ADASL Summer Division with a composed 3–0 victory over Brute Force FC on Sunday morning at Maynard Jackson High School. Now sitting at 5–1–0, Majestic remain unbeaten this summer and lead the table, with an unbeaten Terminus FC hot on their heels, just a point behind with a game in hand.
The morning started with Brute Force kicking off, but it was clear early on which team had the upper hand. Majestic pressed high from the start, stretching the field and stringing passes together with calm precision. Around the 15-minute mark, their pressure paid off with a well-earned opening goal.
Brute Force responded with energy, creating a few half-chances and showing flashes of ambition. But they couldn’t stay onside and struggled to turn momentum into goals. Majestic, meanwhile, continued to build smartly through midfield, holding possession and pulling defenders out of position. Before halftime, No. 16 Abdulkhadir Sagir nearly added a second with a clear chance that went begging. It was his only blemish in an otherwise strong performance.
The second half saw Brute Force come out swinging, but their surge was short-lived. Within minutes, Majestic’s No. 11 found the net for 2–0. Soon after, a bouncing ball fell to an open runner who smashed home the third goal with a clean volley that effectively sealed the result.
After the final whistle, Brute Force forward Emmaniel Ahenfo offered a humble take on the loss:
“We fought hard. We had some chances. We just couldn’t put them in. So hopefully next week, we put them in.”
When asked who stood out for Brute Force, he didn’t hesitate:
“My captain. Abderrahmane Ennajy . That’s my MVP.”
Looking ahead to their next match against mid-table Buckhead SC, Ahenfo added:
“Better passing. Better finishing. That’s the game.”
Majestic Red, meanwhile, will take on DeKalb Dynamo. They’re a young squad still fighting for traction this season, but with pace and potential that could catch opponents off guard.
These summer league matches may not get the spotlight, but what they lack in fanfare they more than make up for in heart. Week after week, players show up not for fame or paychecks, but for their teammates, their club, and the love of the game. There’s a grit to it. A rawness that feels more connected to the sport’s roots than anything seen under stadium lights.
Yesss - I’ve been hoping somebody would cover these matches!
