Lineup Prediction
I’m predicting, for the first time in quite some time, the back four doesn’t change. Erik Lauta regains his place in goal, but the back four of Jordan Knight, Kevin Carmichael, Zach Barrett and Blake Bowen stays the same in this one.
In midfield, I’ve got Pep Casas and Moises Véliz, but it’s important to note Matthew Corcoran didn’t feature in the Nashville squad last night and hasn’t played at all since matchday two. He could very well start here.
The front four receives some slight alteration, on the other hand. Alan Carleton, Ethan O’Brien and Gunnar Studenhofft stay in the lineup, but Damien Barker John returns in place of Real Gill.
This could be the last game for Huntsville without Christian Koffi, in which case he would immediately slot back in as a starter as well.
Analysis & Prediction
We’re gonna skip the “history” section today, because, let’s be real, it doesn’t matter when playing other second teams. The rosters, and lineups are so fluid it doesn’t really have any marked effect.
Miami enter this one with two wins sandwiching a trio of losses to make up their last five. That last win was against Orlando at IMG Academy during the Generation Adidas Cup, which has become a fun tradition for Next Pro that I hope they keep up long term.
Huntsville, of course, have, in some way, won four of their last five, two in 90 minutes and two by way of shootout, with the one loss to Chattanooga as well. Huntsville are creating, and scoring, loads of chances, and Miami have conceded 11 goals so far this season, so that’s likely to continue.
Give me Huntsville inside 90 minutes by a score of 3-1, with goals for the home side scored by Alan Carleton, Ethan O’Brien and Gunnar Studenhofft.
