After an emphatic return to form in midweek against Columbus, Nashville SC is set to once again defend a GEODIS Park they’ve only lost once at in 2025 as Toronto FC comes to town.
The Coyotes currently sit in third in the Eastern Conference, and if they were to receive some assistance in other fixtures (namely, Philadelphia-Houston and Cincinnati-Salt Lake) they could finish the night atop the Supporters Shield standings.
Nashville won the reverse fixture in Canada on May 24th 2-1 courtesy of a brace from Sam Surridge. Toronto enters this one following an impressive 1-0 win on the road at Western Conference leading San Diego, and will be looking to take down another heavyweight here.

Lineup Prediction
This one could be ripe for a little rotation, especially with Nashville’s “big three” so to speak headed to Austin for the All-Star proceedings in midweek.
But, I’ve gone largely unchanged.
Joe Willis starts in goal behind Dan Lovitz, Jack Maher, Walker Zimmerman and Andy Najar protecting him.
In midfield, I have Patrick Yazbek and Eddi Tagseth running it back again, providing support to a front four of Ahmed Qasem, Alex Muyl, Hany Mukhtar and Sam Surridge.
Analysis & Prediction
This has to be three points for Nashville, especially if they want to keep touch with the Supporters Shield race. Cincy and Philly are both on the road, this is a huge opportunity to gain points over them both, and potentially finish the night atop the mountain.
It’s also an opportunity to keep Columbus at arm’s length, as they’re at home to DC United and will be expected to win that game for sure. I think Nashville should comfortably win this one, but who knows, I would’ve said the same about San Diego on Wednesday evening.
Give me Nashville 3-1, goals from Mukhtar, Surridge and Qasem.
