Officials cancel match between Pensacola FC and TLH Reckoning because of weather

WPSL officials canceled tonight’s season-opening match between Pensacola FC and TLH Reckoning about 5:30 p.m. today because of thunderstorms in Northwest Florida.

PFC coach Rob Simon confirmed the cancellation; the Pelicans and Reckoning, from Tallahassee, were scheduled to play the first match of the Women’s Premiere Soccer League Gulf Coast Division season at 7 p.m. tonight at Ashton Brosnaham Stadium.

Simon said no decisions had been made about a make-up date for the match.

The Pensacola FC senior men’s team is scheduled to play Sowegans SC tomorrow at 6:15 p.m. CDT Saturday in Leesburg, Ga.
