After a busy spring season, soccer takes a short summer break around the state
There are no home matches in South Carolina this weekend as soccer takes an unofficial summer break around the Palmetto State. Only the Greenville Triumph is in action this weekend as they travel to play at South Georgia Tormenta on Saturday night.

Triumph are the lone USL League One team to advance into the USL Cup knockout round after winning their group by defeating FC Naples 2-1 and getting some help from the Battery 2-1 over the Rowdies on the group stage final day.
Battery have a bye week after knocking the Rowdies out of the USL Cup. Charleston still sits at the top of the USL Championship table with a huge match away to second-place Louisville City looming on August 9.
WPSL Atlantic Conference Carolinas Division names Soda City FC forward Lauren Kelly to Spring 2025 Best XI. Honorable mentions also go out to Irish Miles and Elysia “Happy” Teske for the spring season.
