Big wins for several South Carolina clubs this weekend
Electric City advance to UPSL Division 1 Mid-Atlantic final
It was a 2-0 win in Anderson on Saturday afternoon over the visiting Villarreal Force to send Electric City FC to the UPSL Mid-Atlantic final next weekend. Julian Sepulveda and Noah Burkett scored the Electric goals. The winner of the Wake Futbol Club-Liberty FC match will travel to play Electric City next weekend.
Battery win duel in the desert to vault to stop of USL C table
Saturday night was a matchup between two of the top teams in the USL as Charleston defeated New Mexico United 2-1 in the desert. Rubin Rubio scored his first for the club to seal the win after an own goal created by an inswinging corner kick gave the Battery their first goal. Charleston is now top of the table with 38 points and hosts Miami FC next weekend.
Triumph fall 1-3 on the road in Madison
The Greenville Triumph slipped 1-3 on the road at Forward Madison Saturday night. Chevone Marsh headed in his first goal for the Triumph in the final minutes of the match after a free kick was played back into the goal mouth for March to apply the final touch. Greenville continues their road trip in Maine this coming Wednesday to play the Portland Hearts of Pine in their first-ever meeting.
Bantams conclude season with 1-0 win
The South Carolina United Bantams wrapped their 2025 USL League Two season defeating the visiting Salem City side 1-0 in Columbia. Kenny Kwizera scored the game winner in the 71st minute for the hosts. The Bantams finish with a 7W-4L-1T record in 4th place in the South Atlantic Division.
Soda City UPSL Women advance in Mid-Atlantic playoffs
It was a 1-0 win for the Soda City UPSL women over Boiling Springs in the first round of the Mid-Atlantic playoffs Saturday night in Irmo. Karla Gordon chipped the keeper to see Soda advance to the next round. Soda will now travel to play at Rush United in Virginia next weekend.
