Revs Get Back On Track with UPSL Win
Georgia Revolution FC continues to grit together tough wins and draws as the Spring UPSL season rolls on.
McDonough, April 14, 2025— Georgia Revolution FC continues to draw eyes with its impressive grit and toughness. Following a 3-2 loss at Dalton United, the Revs have seen plenty of disappointing finishes so far in the 2025 Spring UPSL season. Following their 3-2 loss to Dalton United, the Revs returned to Dalton to match up with the league-leading North Georgia United, which saw the Revs down 2-0 after the first half of the game.
After trailing in the 1st half, the Revs responded with a deft and collected passing display that saw OQuinn Robinson pick up a loose ball and rocket it into the back of the net in the 69th minute. The goal was created thanks largely to the passing of Cris Corona and midfielder Daniel Rohr who took advantage of North Georgia’s intense press on the ball and set up Robinson at the top of the box. Then in the 1st minute of stoppage time, the Revs pressured NGU into a corner which then saw Daniel Rohr send in an Olmypico into the back of the net to score the match’s equalizer.
“The team showed a lot of character to come back after being down a couple goals at halftime. The second half performance was much improved and we fought hard to earn a result. We’re back to work this week with a big match coming up!”
Manager Alec Morrison reiterated following the 2-2 draw away at North Georgia United.
The next match following North Georgia United was at Old Warhawk Stadium against Kalonji Pro-Profile whom the Revs had beaten in the prior Fall Season off with a three-goal second half including goals by Alain Skerritt, Ricky Martinez, and Jason Redmond Jr.
Now going into the Spring season, the Revs looked to defend their home field but saw two mistakes by the Revs scored in the first half. However, there was a sliver of hope from a goal from a Thiago Kittelmann header following a corner-kick routine in the first half. After halftime, there was a noticeable shift in the tenor of the game that helped the team overcome a 2-1 deficit and then fully overcome Kalonji Pro-Profile. The Revs scored three second-half goals (history doesn’t repeat itself, but it does rhyme very well) including a gorgeous play by Alique Skerritt to Lennox Dixon and finished by Gustavo Atencio to bring the Revs ahead at 3-2 in the 57th minute.
Then following a goal by Kalonji Pro-Profile, the Revs finished the game off with another incredible feat of corner taking by Daniel Rohr which saw the ball careen into the back of the net following a header by defender Lewis Green which dinged off of OQuinn Robinson for the fourth goal of the match by the Revolution in the 70th minute of the game. With this result, the Revs now sit in fifth place in the overall standings and have a record of 2-1-3 with seven matches remaining in the UPSL Georgia Premier Division’s Spring Regular Season.
