The Tampa Bay Rowdies have officially secured forward Charlie Sharp on loan from Toronto FC for the remainder of the 2025 USL Championship season. It’s the latest new addition to the club and renews a pipeline where the Rowdies have signed yet another player from a Canadian club. .
Head coach Dominic Casciato was pleased about the acquisition, noting:
“I’ve tracked Charlie for a while… it’s time he established himself at a First-Team level. I’m hoping he can do that here.”

Sharp shined at Western Michigan University, where over five seasons he scored 42 goals and tallied 22 assists across 89 appearances. He also played in USL League Two while in college.
His senior year was particularly stellar, leading all of NCAA Division I men’s soccer with 19 goals, earning him a MAC Hermann Trophy finalist honor.
