South Georgia to welcome Portland for the first time.
When the season schedule came out this year there was one game I wanted to ensure I was able to be at and that's this game. As someone who calls Saco Maine home being able to see a pro team from just down the road from where I grew up is one of the most exciting things I could've hoped for. Even more impressive though is how well structured Portland has been. In the two USL 1 games they have played they have had clean sheets in both of them with Hunter Morse in goal for both. However on the flip side they have yet to score a goal in USL1 action and that's something Tormenta would like to keep as a trend.
Tormenta is coming off a draw against Chattanooga in their first away game of the season. Tormenta go goals from Turnbridge off a penalty and then a beautiful goal from Vivas, a goal that was in the running for Goal of the week. Tormenta will have to play a clean solid game if they hope to come out victorious this week.
There is one more special thing about this weekends game for Tormenta. JJ Hardy, Tormenta’s youngest pro and one of the LOUDEST supporters on game days will be celebrating his birthday this weekend at the game. So join me in wishing JJ a very happy birthday.
