Southeast Soccer Report Announces Plan to Merge with National Soccer Network
Merger creates a unified national platform focused on expanding soccer coverage through RokuTV and digital media.
October 22, 2025 — Atlanta, GA — The Southeast Soccer Report (SESR) today announced its intention to merge with the National Soccer Network (NSN), a leading national broadcaster of professional and semi-professional soccer. This merger marks a pivotal step toward expanding high-quality soccer journalism and broadcast coverage nationwide — with a central focus on growing NSN’s dedicated RokuTV platform as the home for American soccer storytelling.
NSN has emerged as one of the fastest-growing soccer broadcast networks in the country, producing events such as the NISA Pro Cup Tournament and the 2025 USL League Two Championship Final. The network maintains broadcasting partnerships with The League for Clubs, Women’s Premier Soccer League (WPSL), Major Arena Soccer League (MASL), and numerous clubs across USL2/USLW, National Premier Soccer League (NPSL), United Premier Soccer League (UPSL), Midwest Premier League (MWPL), and collegiate and youth leagues nationwide.
At the core of NSN’s growth strategy is its RokuTV network, which delivers soccer content directly to fans’ living rooms. Roku is the platform’s primary hub for live broadcasts, interviews, highlight shows, and long-form storytelling.
NSN’s YouTube sub-channel continues to complement Roku with livestreams, podcasts, and on-demand replays, serving as an accessible space for fan engagement and grassroots visibility.
A Shared Vision for Expanding U.S. Soccer Coverage
“I am very excited to announce our merger intentions with the National Soccer Network,” said Calum Ewing, founder of Southeast Soccer Report. “Our in-depth professional and exceptional semi-professional soccer coverage will expand from a regional to national focus. With NSN’s vast connections to the USL, League for Clubs, WPSL, and other leagues, we can highlight the growing soccer culture in cities across America through written material and broadcasting. We cannot wait for fans to see our work on RokuTV, and we cannot wait for what the future holds.”
“What Calum has done in such a short time period is truly remarkable, and we are excited about expanding soccer coverage across the country under the Southeast Soccer Report and National Soccer Network banners,” said Jonathan Turner, CEO of Premier Media Group and National Soccer Network. “This partnership brings together two organizations that share the same mission — to grow the game, tell meaningful stories, and make soccer more accessible to fans everywhere.”
What the Merger Means for Writers and Readers
All current Southeast Soccer Report freelance writers will join Premier Media Group, NSN’s parent company, under its News Division.
Through the end of the year, stories will be cross-posted on both NSN and SESR websites, with exclusive features appearing on each platform until January 1, 2026, when southeastsoccerreport.org will redirect to nationalsoccernetwork.com.
Both free and paid content tiers will continue under the new structure. All current SESR free subscribers will automatically retain their subscription status as the two outlets merge.
A National Expansion with Local Roots
Since its launch on February 1, 2025, Southeast Soccer Report has been recognized for its detailed, passionate coverage of soccer throughout the Southeastern United States.
Through the merger, NSN and SESR will expand that same mission nationwide — maintaining a balance between local storytelling and national context.
At the professional level, coverage of MLS, USL Championship, and USL League One will grow strategically to ensure thoughtful, club-by-club analysis.
At the semi-professional level, the combined platform will leverage NSN’s and SESR’s extensive partnerships to connect with every major U.S. league — including NPSL, USL2, The League for Clubs (TLfC), UPSL, APSL, WPSL, and USLW — establishing formal relationships and creating consistent coverage across all levels of American soccer.
