Terminus FC continues its torrid pace in the ADASL summer league with a 7-1 victory over Peachtree FC II at Brook Run Park in Dunwoody. The victory continues Terminus's unbeaten swing as they sit on top of the table with a 3-point cushion over Peachtree FC with two matches remaining.
The scoring was led off by former Seattle Sounders and DC United midfielder Alex Caskey. Alex's goal was the result of a perfect assist by Kai Bennett, a former starter from the University of North Florida. The man of the match was Adrian Lollar from Limestone College, who netted three goals plus an assist. Justin Smith, a recent addition to Terminus in a long line of Barry College stars, added a goal along with Caribbean star Damian Charles. Everyone cheered as Erik Holmen scored his goal, since he returns next week to play for St. Leo's College in Florida.
Nathan Miles of Emory University put in another consistent quality performance in goal as the Terminus FC defense did a great job of protecting our defensive third.
What makes the ADASL top teams and soon the APSL is that almost all of the players played high-level college or international soccer. A core reason the Terminus score lines are so lopsided this summer is the influx of quality college players in Atlanta for the summer: players from U Penn, Johns Hopkins, Amherst, St. Leo's, Elon, and Univ. of Indianapolis.
Terminus FC returns to Brook Run next Sunday at 9 AM to play Majestic Red as we try to clinch our fifth straight ADASL summer league championship.
