That's baffling that the Red Wolves didn't even bother to bid, since the home team gets basically all the revenue: tickets, parking, concessions, merch, etc. What kind of business model walks away from what is easily several hundred thousand dollars?? (3000 fans x $50 (ticket, parking, food/beverages, etc.) = $ 150,000 )

My understanding also when asked is that CFC asked to host, and we assume the Red Wolves did not. From speaking to CFC staff I know that putting on such a big event, at such short notice was an incredibly difficult task. It may be that the Red Wolves simply felt they wouldn't be able to turn a cup tie around in two weeks. They've done nothing to promote the game themselves as away team, so it may be that their focus is elsewhere.
