Record
Inter Miami: P:3 W:1 D:0 L:2 GF:8 GA:9
Chattanooga: P:3 W:2 D:0 L:1 GF:9 GA:8
Miami and Chattanooga have faced-off on three occasions, all of which came last season. CFC won the first of their meetings when they won 6-2 at Finley Stadium last April. A 1-2 away win for the Tennessee men in May cemented their winning record against the Herons for 2024. Their last meeting saw Miami run out 5-1 victors at Chase Stadium back in October.
Report Cards
Inter Miami II
Miami’s season was thrown a curveball when Head Coach Federico Higuain left to join Columbus Crew 2 in late January. Assistant Christian Ledesma was appointed to replace him just two days ago, on the doorstep of this new season. The former Argentina international has been with the organization for years, working with their development sides. Midfielder Christian Flores scored three times across this fixture last season, so expect him to shine tomorrow night.
Chattanooga FC
This will be the first game of Head Coach Chris Nugent's first full season. CFC come into this game off the back of an unbeaten preseason. New signings like Tate Robertson and Ameziane Sid Mohand have looked impressive so far, but watch out for who starts in the center forward role. Keegan Ancelin has looked handy in his friendly outings, but Peter Plougmand is as exciting a prospect as they come. Both will be raring for starting XI selection and to lay their stake on the role with a goal or two.
Prediction
Early season conservatism, new players unfamiliar with one another, and two green Head Coaches could make this a tight affair. Chattanooga will leave Florida with a low-scoring win.
